Women’s Track ends Catamount Classic with great marks

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – The VMI women's track and field team finished up competition at the 2025 Catamount Classic with great times and distances Saturday in Cullowhee, North Carolina.

Junior Shea Hart completed the 100m hurdles finals with a fourth-place finish in 14.32, a new personal-best time for the event.

Gretal Shank led VMI in the 800 meter with a fifth-place time of 2:18.93, while Evelyn Anderson (13th) and Natalia Dias (25th) also competed.

The 4x400 relay team of SeMore Green, Anderson, Shank and Reagan Gilman came in fifth place.

Notable Performances
*Morgan Fraser placed sixth in the high jump at 1.61m, while Hart came in eighth with the same height, her new PR
*Julie Freitas finished eighth in the triple jump at 10.86m
*In the 400m hurdles, Heaven Hall placed 10th in 1:10 and Olivia Hurd was right behind in 11th in 1:11.71, a new personal-best time
*Diamond Baker placed 14th in the shot put at 11.09m, and Ruth Dickersheid came in 20th at 10.24m
