FAQs
What is the difference between general admission and reserved?
  • General admission is first come, first serve seating in Section 1, Section 5, and the small away bleachers. Sections 1 and 5 are the two outer sections.
  • Reserved tickets are for the three middle sections of Foster Stadium: Sections 2, 3, and 4. Reserved tickets have an assigned section, row, and seat number.
Can I bring stadium seats/chair backs into the stadium?
  • Yes, all fans are permitted to bring stadium seats and/or chair backs into Foster Stadium.
Where can I park?
  • There are a number of parking opportunities, both on and around post for game day activities. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis, and we strongly recommend planning ahead and arriving early to ensure your ability to obtain a space in approved areas. Fans can pay to park in the North Institute Hill Lot and the Parade Ground for $40. Visit vmi.edu/gameday for more information.

What time is parade?
  • The Corps of Cadets conducts a dress parade at 10:30 a.m. on the Parade Ground every football game day.

How can I buy an ADA accessible seat?
  • Our ADA accessible seats can be obtained by purchasing a general admission ticket for the game. The ADA accessible seats can be found on either side of the stadium.
Is there handicap parking?
  • Yes, we have handicap parking spots in the CPTF Garage. If the parking spots fill up, a police officer will direct patrons to a secondary lot.
Can I tailgate on post?
  • Yes, tailgating with tents is permitted only on the Parade Ground and in North Institute Hall parking. Only one tent per vehicle is authorized.

Are there shuttles?
  • We offer various shuttles to get people around Post. There are shuttle stops scattered around Post including:
    • The corner of Diamond Street and Main Street (between Cameron Hall and the Corps Physical Training Facility)
    • Moody Hall
    • Chapel
  • The shuttles are not able to take anyone off Post. We ask that you be patient with the shuttle service.
Is there a visiting team section?
  • The small bleachers on Main Street side are our designated visiting team section. To sit in that section, you can purchase a general admission ticket. Visiting team fans who wish to sit in the reserved sections may buy a ticket to do so.
Where are the concessions and restrooms?
  • Concessions and restrooms can be found in two different spots in Foster Stadium. There are restrooms and concessions at the main gate entrance and behind the home stands.
How can I access the concessions and restrooms behind the stands?
  • Row HH in sections 1-5 has a portal in which fans can use to access the concessions and restrooms behind the stadium.
What if I need help getting to my seat?
  • We have golf cart shuttles that can take fans with mobility issues to their seats in the stadium. The golf carts can be found near the main entrance to Foster Stadium and next to the Kilbourne ADA lot.
Where does the Corps sit?
  • The Old Corp will sit in front of sections 3 and 4 with the Rats sitting in front of section 2. The Corps will sit from Row A to Row U in each of these sections.
