Relay shines for Women’s Track to finish Virginia Challenge

Freshman Reagan Gilman sets another PR, program-best 800m time

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The VMI women's track and field team completed the 2025 Virginia Challenge with another day of personal bests and school records set Saturday at the University of Virginia's Lannigan Field in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The 4x100 relay team of Jennifer Koumondji, SeMore Green, Miracle Eric and Naturale Faison highlighted the day for the Keydets by placing 11th overall in the competition in 47.17 seconds.

Freshman distance runner Reagan Gilman continued to set personal bests and school records Saturday by completing the 800 meter run in 2:13.61 – another new PR – to reset her own school record outdoor time for the distance. Facing top competition from the East coast, she placed 29th overall in the race with her time.

Senior Gretal Shank also competed in the 800 meter and came in 41st place overall in 2:15.46, also a new personal-best time.

Junior Shea Hart competed in the 100m hurdles and arrived in 29th place overall in 14.40 seconds.

Faison also competed in the 200m dash and placed 67th overall in 25.74 seconds.

Up Next
The Keydets compete in the final regular season event of the 2025 outdoor campaign next weekend at the Catamount Classic hosted by Western Carolina Friday and Saturday, Apr. 25-26, in Cullowhee, North Carolina.

The 2025 SoCon Outdoor Championship is slated for May 12-13 hosted by Samford in Birmingham, Alabama.
