Track and Field enjoys successful day at JMU Invite

HARRISONBURG, Va. – The VMI track and field teams found continued success at the midpoint of the 2025 outdoor season with several personal bests Saturday at the JMU Invite hosted by James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

The field events led the way with Morgan Fraser placing third in the high jump at 1.66 meters while Julie Freitas also placed third in the triple jump at 11.62 meters.

Isabelle Cabales also performed well by arriving in seventh in the javelin throw at 22.65 meters.

Top Performances
*SeMore Green finished 10th in the 200m in 25.01 seconds
*Jillian and Gretal Shank placed 11th and 12th, respectively, in the 1500m
*Freshman Ruth Dickersheid finished 13th in the hammer at 28.57m. Isabelle Cabales came in 14th at 25.07m
*Olivia Hurd placed 15th in the 400m hurdles in 1:13.38
*Dickersheid competed in the shot put and placed 17th overall at 9.66m
