VMI (4-5, 1-2) looks to hop back in the win column after taking a conference loss last week at home to Cleveland State. Sophomore attack Beau Durkin led the Keydets with two goals to go with two assists during the contest to be named an NEC Prime Performer.

About the Colonials (8-3, 3-0)
After falling in their first two games of the season to Top 20 foes #15 Johns Hopkins and #9 Richmond, the Colonials have won eight of their last nine games with the only setback being to St. Bonaventure by a 14-11 score back on February 17. Before beginning NEC play three weeks ago, Robert Morris defeated tough non-conference opponents High Point, Hobart, Canisius and Bellarmine in consecutive weeks to enter league play with added momentum.

Since facing NEC competition, the Colonials have topped league foes Detroit Mercy (W, 11-6), Cleveland State (W, 11-6) and Le Moyne (W, 19-4) and are currently riding a seven-game winning streak heading into this weekend.

Dylan Anderson leads the team with 31 points on 22 goals and nine assists while Calum Brennan is close behind with 25 points (21 goals, four assists).  Luke Prezioso and Graeme MacLennan play a key role as distributors and lead the team in helpers with 10 and nine, respectively, to this point of the season.

Defenseman Owen Tapper had caused a team-high 28 turnovers thus far, 20 more than anyone else on the team. Nate Fechter has played all but 70 minutes in the cage as the primary goalkeeper. He owns a 10.07 goals-against average and has tallied 124 saves through 11 games.

All-Time Series (2-5)
VMI won the first two contests back in 2005 and 2006 but have lost to the Colonials five consecutive times since 2007. The series took a hiatus from 2010-25, which RMU resumed with a 15-9 win over the Keydets last April in Moon Township, Pennsylvania.
