Track and Field teams slated to compete at Virginia Challenge

LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI track and field teams will send multiple cadet-athletes to the 2025 Virginia Challenge hosted by the University of Virginia Friday and Saturday, April 18-19, at Lannigan Field in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The Keydets begin action Friday at 3:55 p.m. with Eleyah Armstrong and Naturale Faison competing in the 100m prelims and Zach Denton in the long jump. Sophomore Kevin Shank will finish the day running the 5,000m at 9:05 p.m.

Fans can catch the action on the ACC Network live stream.

On Saturday, action will commence with Cameron Thomas in the men's pole vault at 1 p.m. and Gretal Shank and Evelyn Anderson competing in the 800m shortly after. The women's and men's 4x400m relays will finish the day at 4:40 p.m.

The meet will feature schools from all over the East coast and some of the best track and field athletes in the country.
