LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI Rifle Teams took on rival The Citadel on Saturday at Sills Range in Centreville, Virginia, as the Keydet Mixed squad posted its best aggregate score of the season (4605) to win the match.
The Citadel Mixed Team placed second, while VMI Women finished third in front of The Citadel women.
The aggregate of 4605 is the team's best score since facing Wofford in January of the 2023-24 season (4610 – program record).
Alexander Pohlman was once again the top finisher for VMI, totaling a 1158 while the Keydets had seven of the top 10 individuals.
Soraya Sar, who finished second overall (1158) had the top score in smallbore, shooting 578 with 25 centers.
Darian Tweedell, who placed eighth overall, posted a 588 in the air rifle, which was the top in that discipline for VMI.
Kyle Kemp (1155) finished fourth individually and
Cody Jenkins was sixth (1145).
