LEXINGTON, Va. – A total of 10 members of the VMI Rifle earned invites for the 2026 Air and Smallbore Rifle National Junior Olympic Championship (JROC) which will be held in Anniston, Alabama from April 8-13.

Reece Guillet, Kyle Kemp, Zachary Mauriello, Alexander Pohlman,  Jaren Vickers, Soraya Sar and Darian Tweedell all earned first round invites, while Laura Canaday, Elizabeth Stann and Wuyue Xie collected second round invites.

In addition to those that qualified (full list below), both Darian Tweedell and Alexander Pohlman both medaled in the Virginia State Qualifiers, with Pohlman being crowned State Champion for his 588 in the Air Rifle.
An invitation-only event, invitees had to compete in State Junior Olympic Championship events and hit qualifying marks.
