Women’s Track and Field finishes VMI Invitational with top marks

LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI women's track and field team earned excellent times and distances to finish strong on Day 2 of the 2025 VMI Invitational Saturday at the Corps Physical Training Facility.

The team showcased its talent and depth, highlighted by exceptional performances in sprints, middle-distance and distance events. Senior leadership and emerging underclassmen played key roles in a strong overall showing for the Keydets.

Top Performances
60m Dash

Eleyah Armstrong delivered a standout performance, advancing to the finals and placing third with a swift time of 7.54

200m Dash

Freshman Naturale Faison impressed with an eighth-place finish in 25.54, demonstrating promise as she transitions to collegiate competition

300m Dash

SeMore Green led the Keydets in this event, finishing ninth with a time of 41.64. Shea Hart also performed well, placing 14th in 42.91

400m Dash

SeMore Green continued her strong meet with a ninth-place finish in 59.42. Teammate Heaven Hall crossed the line in 15th with a time of 1:00.69

800m Run

Gretal Shank delivered a tactical race to finish third in 2:21.61. Sophomore Evelyn Anderson followed closely, placing fifth in 2:24.33.

Mile Run

Jillian Sisk ran a composed race, finishing fifth with a time of 5:17.46 and leading the Keydets' effort in the distance events.

3000m Run

Jillian Sisk doubled back for a solid 11th-place finish in the 3000m with a time of 10:26.64, showing remarkable endurance and determination.

Triple Jump

Julie Freitas came in third place with a distance of 11.58 meters

Shot Put

Freshman Ruth Dickersheid came in 21st place with a mark of 10.84m and Diamond Baker came in 23rd overall at 10.71m
