Keydets Finish Competition at IC4A Championship

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The VMI men's track and field team finished competition at the IC4A Championship Sunday with excellent performances at William & Mary's Walter J. Zable Stadium in Williamsburg, Virginia.
 
Senior sprinter Jordin Poindexter came in sixth in the 100 meter final with a time of 10.73 seconds. He followed it up with a fourth-place finish in the 200 meter with a time of 21.54 seconds.
 
Freshman Jeremiah Wilks also competed in the 200m, finishing in 22nd overall in 22.24 seconds.
 
Fellow freshman Richard Edwards competed in the 400 meter Sunday morning and came away with an 18th-place time of 49.59 seconds.
 
Senior Gavin Jenkins will represent the VMI men's track and field program in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA East Regional set for May 26-28 in Bloomington, Indiana.
