Given the Southern Conference’s Heath Whittle Award as the Male Most Outstanding Track Athlete following his performance at the SoCon Indoor Championships … came in first in the 60m with a career-best time of 6.74 seconds at the meet as well as first place in the 200m in 21.41 seconds to earn All-Conference in both events … also helped the 4x400 relay to a first-place finish in 3:17.13 at the SoCon meet for All-SoCon honors … placed sixth in the 60m at the IC4A/ECAC Championships, where he also placed eighth in the 200m (21.41s) and ran a leg of the 4x400 relay team’s ninth-place mark of 3:18.00.
Outdoor
Named the SoCon Most Outstanding Track Performer for the second year in a row following his performance at the SoCon Outdoor Championships … placed first in the 100m in a career-best 10.27 seconds - a facility record and second-fastest all-time at VMI - before earning a career-best 20.89 seconds in the 200m (new VMI record) to earn the individual title … helped the 4x400 relay team to a first-place finish in 3:11.08, earning All-Conference honors in all three events … named SoCon Men’s Track Athlete of the Week on April 6 following his performance at the Colonial Relays … later named the SoCon Men’s Track Athlete of the Month … qualified for the 100m and 200m at the IC4A/ECAC Championships, placing sixth in the 100m in 10.73 seconds and fourth in the 200m in 21.54 seconds.
2021: Earned All-Southern Conference honors during the indoor season in the 60m, 200m and the 4x400 relay… placed second in the 60m finals with a time of 6.92 seconds … again came in second in the 200m in 21.95 seconds after placing fifth in the prelims … helped the 4x400 relay team to a SoCon title with a winning time of 3:19.18 … during the outdoor season, was named the Male Most Outstanding Track Athlete at the SoCon Outdoor Championships after winning the 200m title, runner-up in the 100m helped the 4x400 relay to another title and helped the 4x100 relay to third place … placed second in the 100m in 10.60 seconds at the SoCon meet after placing first in the prelims in a career-best 10.54 seconds … won the 200m title in a career-best 21.32 seconds … helped 4x100 relay to all-conference honors with third-place mark of 41.86 seconds … led the 4x400 relay to its title in 3:12.99.
2020: Started season with top ten finishes in 60 and 200 races at Keydet Invitational…earned a second and third place finish in 60 with times with a personal best 6.90…continued strong at VMI Winter Relays with top ten finishes in 60m, 200m, and a second place finish in 4x400…posted a personal best 50.70 in 400, good for 19th place at VMI Indoor Classic…placed second in 4x400, and top five finishes in 200 and 60 at SoCon Indoor Championships.
2019: True freshman participated in 60, earning seventh place in Keydet Invitational…placed sixth in 200 at Virginia Tech Challenge…earned a ninth place finish in 60 and 13th place in 200 at SoCon Indoor Championships…posted a personal best in 100 with time of 10.90 at Gamecock Invitational Outdoor…posted a personal best in 200 with time of 21.80 at SoCon Outdoor Championships.
High School/Personal: Finished third in the 100-meters (Emerging Elite division) at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals to earn All-American honors...was the 3A state champion in the 100 and 400, and the runner-up at the 200-meter distance...indoors, was the state champ in the 55-meters...prior to 2018, had earned a litany of all-state and all-conference honors...Richmond Times-Dispatch All-Metro...Honor and Scholar Roll...intends to major in biology.
