Keydets to Face Radford Thursday Night

LEXINGTON, Va. – Playing its fourth match of an eight-game road swing, the VMI women's soccer team travels to Radford to take on the Highlanders Thursday night at Cupp Stadium in Radford, Virginia.

Kickoff is slated for a 7 p.m. started and will be broadcast on ESPN+.

VMI is led by freshman Riley Flanagan, who was unable to notch any goals Sunday at Marshall but had scored in five consecutive games leading up to the match. She has five goals on the year to go with two assists.

Senior Maria Vargas has played a key role in facilitating the offense as she has logged five assists through eight games and ranks second on the team with 12 shot attempts on the season.

Ella Flickinger, Lauren Fyfe and Hannah White have also scored one goal apiece this season.

Goalie Jillian Hall has faced 136 shots since the season began and owns a 1.82 goals-against average to go with 54 saves. She has recorded two individual shutouts to this point of the season.

About the Highlanders (5-1, 0-0)

Radford has played a tough schedule to this point and with five wins has defeated the likes of Mount St. Mary's, Delaware State and Marshall in addition to Southern Conference foes Wofford and ETSU.

The Highlanders are coming off a close 2-1 loss to George Mason on Sunday.

Kat Parris has been a dominant force for the Radford offense as she leads the team with five goals and four assists for a total of 14 points through six matches. Brianna Oliver has scored four goals on the year while Izzy Armstrong and Amy Swain both have three for the year.

Lauren Seedlock has played all six matches in the goalie box for Radford and owns a .66 goals-against average in addition to 27 saves.
