Keydets Take on The Citadel in Charleston

LEXINGTON, Va. – Looking for its first Southern Conference win of the season, the VMI women's soccer team will travel to rival The Citadel to resume Southern Conference action Friday at 3 p.m. game at WLI Field in Charleston, South Carolina.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.

The Keydets (1-3-2, 0-3-1) are coming off a hard-fought loss to visiting Wofford on Sunday after tying the game 2-2 at halftime. Junior Whitney Edwards-Roberson scored two goals in the game, with an assist from Sarah Anschutz on the first goal.

Edwards-Roberson leads VMI with four goals on the season, with Kiley Cropper and Maggie Beckman scoring two apiece.

Senior goalie Sidney Swoope has 26 saves on the season.

About the Bulldogs (6-6-2, 0-3-0 SoCon)
The Citadel is coming off a loss to Mercer in overtime on Friday. Logan Dix leads the Bulldogs with nine goals between the fall and spring seasons.

Goalies Brie Sikes and Jess Newton have split time with 58 combined saves on the year.
