Women’s Soccer Spring Schedule Announced

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – With the Southern Conference making its fall sports spring schedule available for release Thursday, the VMI women's soccer 2021 spring slate has been revealed.
 
The Keydets open the season with a non-conference battle with Davidson set for Sunday, February 28, in Davidson, North Carolina.
 
SoCon play begins on March 5 with all 10 teams in action. League teams will all play each other once for a nine-game conference slate. SoCon games will be contested on Fridays and Sundays until the regular season concludes on April 4. The Southern Conference semifinals, hosted by the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds, are slated for April 9 or 10 with the SoCon Championship final scheduled for April 16 or 17 at the home of the highest remaining seed.
 
VMI opens the league slate at Western Carolina on March 5 before traveling to ETSU for a matchup the following Sunday.
 
The Keydets play their first games at Patchin Field the weekend of March 12-14 when Furman and Wofford visit Lexington, respectively.
 
After traveling to The Citadel and Mercer the weekend of March 19-21, the Keydets will play host to UNCG on Sunday, Mar. 28. VMI will close the regular season the following weekend of April 2-4 when Samford (Apr. 2) and Chattanooga (Apr. 4)
