LYNCHBURG, Va. – After months of training and preparation, several Keydet track and field members displayed their progression with personal and season bests Wednesday night at the Liberty Twilight Qualifier in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Freshman Ingrid Joseph tied a season-best 12.22 in the 100 meter and earned a huge season-best 25.03 in the 200 meter.

In the women's field, Sydney Hays threw a big personal best in the hammer with a distance of 44.37 meters. Ellie Miller also registered a personal best in the javelin by throwing a distance of 24.69 meters.

Ariel Endicott threw a distance of 33.49 meters in the hammer and Stephanie Jones fouled out in the same event.

On the men's track, Jonathan Gray logged a season best in the 400 meter at 50.11 seconds as well as a season best 22.81 in the 200 meter. Freshman Rafael Mas earned a personal-best 57.47 in the 400-meter hurdles while Bret Trahan ran a season-best 23.45 in the 200 meter. Caleb Minus also ran the 200, earning a time of 22.92 seconds.

Sophomore Ariana Ruffin came in 13th place in the 200 meter in 25.30 seconds. In the men's sprints, Johnnie Walker placed ninth in the 400 meter in 49.89 seconds, while Jordin Poindexter placed 14th in the 100 meter preliminaries (10.92) and ninth in the 200 meter (21.88).

In the men's field, Daniel Usher threw a distance of 40.10 meters in the discus for 14th place.

The Keydets return to the track May 11-12 for the IC4A/ECAC Championships in Princeton, New Jersey.
