VMI Swim and Dive Teams Open Season at Howard

LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI men's and women's swimming and diving teams open the 2019-20 season this Saturday at Howard University in Washington, D.C.

The two teams squared off last year in Lexington, with the Keydet men winning handily (157.5-75.5) and the Bison taking the women's (136-91) competition.

“I'm very excited to compete for the first time this season on Saturday,” said head coach Andrew Bretscher. “We've been working hard in the pool over the last six weeks, so it will be nice to see that work starting to pay off. As a team, we've been looking better and better in the pool each week and I know we are prepared to perform well. Howard is a much improved team from last year so Saturday will be a good first test.”

The Keydet men have their first home meet of the year, Friday, Oct. 11 against Davidson University at 5 p.m.
