LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Women's Swimming & Diving kicked off the America East Championships by breaking multiple records at Goodall Pool in the VMI Aquatic Center.
Starting the evening was the 200 Medley Relay team with
Noelle Tong,
Parker Belle Fogle,
Emerson Cosner, and
Mackenzie Byrne, who flew through the field (1:48.32) to set a new team record. Also breaking records was the 800 Free Relay squad with
Lacy Delzell,
Avery Shuping,
Susan Cushman, and
Maddie Wolfe for a new Rat and team record (7:54.87).
Isabelle Haer was a few points shy of the one-meter diving finals, scoring 10th with 213.45 points. This marks the second-straight season Haer has finished in the top 10.
VMI sits in seventh with 55 points after day one.
Next Up
Day two of the championship meet will begin at 10 a.m. with prelims, then continue with finals at 5:30 p.m.
