Women's S&D Falls in Tri-Meet

GAFFNEY, S.C. – The VMI women's swimming and diving teams were in action Friday night in Gaffney, S.C., falling to Limestone College and Catawba College. It was VMI's first meet since Dec. 4, as the Keydets dropped a 106-11 decision to Catawba and 110-7 decision to Limestone.

VMI (1-11) was paced by two relays earning third-place results at the tri-meet, as the 200 free and 200 medley relays did so. In the medley, Caitlyn Jackson, Joyce Zabala, Elise Reed and Molly Andoe timed in at 2:15.30, while in the freestyle, Emy Farsakian, Justina Dunne, Amanda Berrios and Mackenzie Perkins touched the wall in 1:49.07. Individually, Dunne was fourth in the 200 back (2:18.01), while Ally Van Valen was fourth in the 500 free (5:57.71).

VMI women's swimming and diving is back in action January 26, wrapping up the team's regular season by playing host to Ferrum and Washington and Lee at Clark King Pool. Action is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
