VMI Women's Soccer Defeated 5-0 at Carson-Newman

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. ? The Carson-Newman women's soccer team wrapped up its 2003 regular season with a 5-0 win over VMI Friday afternoon at McCown Field.

C-N's Rebecca Angus scored two goals for the Lady Eagles and Erica Stegner added two assists.

Rebecca Nulph started the C-N scoring with a goal in the seventh minute off an assist by Ramsdale. Angus scored the next two goals off assists by Stegner, the first coming in the 32nd minute and the second in the 46th minute. Natalie Cothran scored on an unassisted goal when she put back a rebound in front of the net. Jennifer Bock capped the scoring on a break-away goal off an assist by Waters in the 67th minute.

VMI (3-12) will conclude its inaugural varsity season with a game at Emory & Henry on Sunday at 2 p.m.
