The Keydets (5-6, 2-3) are coming off a big upset win over co-league leader LIU this past Sunday when the Keydets rallied from an early deficit to topple the Sharks by a 10-8 score at Long Island.

Jack Rogers was dominant at the faceoff X where he won 15 of 22 FO attempts to help VMI win the critical possession battle in a close contest to earn NEC Prime Performer honors. Sophomore Beau Durkin was also recognized by the league as a Prime Performer by scoring two goals for the day – including the game winner – late in the fourth period.

About the Seahawks (5-6, 3-2)
At 5-6 for the year, Wagner got off to a slow 0-4 start to the season but has since righted the trajectory and won three of its past four games, including an 8-7 overtime thriller over Le Moyne last weekend.

Jake Mitchell is the clear leader on offense as he leads the team in both goals (23) and assists (12) for 35 combined points, which is 13 more points than Dylan Popehn's 22 (17 goals, 5 assists). Smith Callaghan ranks third on the team with 11 goals to go with nine assists while Danny McMahon is close behind with 10 goals and eight assists. Theo Kostakos is another threat on the offensive end with a team-high 64 shots.

Cole Yoshioka is the top defenseman with 15 caused turnovers for the season while Tristan McMahon is right behind with 14. Goalie Angus Snow has played all but 86 minutes in the cage this year and owns an 11.24 goals-against average to go with 135 saves.

All-Time Series (12-8)
The Keydets and Seahawks are well familiar with each other having squared off 20 times over the past 24 years with VMI owning 12 victories to Wagner's eight. The Keydets have won the past four contests played since 2019 which put an end to the Seahawks' streak of six consecutive wins over the Keydets from 2013-18.

VMI looks to defeat Wagner for a fifth straight year after taking down the Seahawks by a close 13-12 score last season on Staten Island.
