LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Athletics and VMI Football officially announced its 2026 schedule on Wednesday.

The schedule features VMI's first ever "Week Zero" game, a visit to Blacksburg along with nonconference matchups against Bucknell and at Davidson before opening Southern Conference play.

VMI will have a total of five home games in 2026, four of which will come against SoCon opponents. They Keydets will also face a new conference foe for the first time, visiting Tennessee Tech on November 7 before hosting The Citadel for the annual Military Classic of the South on November 14.
