LEXINGTON, Va. – With inclement weather approaching Southwest Virginia late this weekend, VMI Baseball has moved its previously scheduled Sunday matchup to Friday, making Opening Day against Delaware State a doubleheader.
The Keydets open the 2026 slate at home against the Hornets, with first pitch for game one of the doubleheader at 1 p.m., and game two following. Saturday's doubleheader is unaffected and will begin at 1 p.m. as scheduled. Admission to the season opener and all 31 home games at Lamore Field at Gray-Minor Stadium is free.
