Men’s Track ends Catamount Classic with great marks

CULLOWHEE, N.C. – The VMI men's track and field team finished up competition at the 2025 Catamount Classic with great times and distances Saturday in Cullowhee, North Carolina.

Senior Xander Topos paced the Keydets on Day Two with a second-place time of 54.85 seconds in the 400m hurdles just ahead of freshman Isaac Osouna, who placed eighth in 58.00 seconds.

Rae Tazewell led the Keydets in the shot put with a fourth-place distance of 15.20 meters. Hunter Davis (11th, 13.86m) and Elisha Williams (12th, 13.86m) also competed.

Excellent Times and Distances
*Colin Crenshaw ran the 3,000m steeple and finished ninth overall in 10:07.44
*Freshman Grant Fraser placed ninth in the high jump at 1.77m, and Rye Jackson hit the same height
*Ben Hagerich logged a 1:56 in the 800 meters for 14th place
