10 Track and Field athletes named to SoCon Spring Academic All-Conference Team

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – A total of 10 VMI track and field cadet-athletes were named to the annual Spring Academic All-Conference Team, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.
 
To qualify for the team, a student-athlete must have completed at least three semesters at the school (only sophomores and up eligible) and own a minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA following the Spring 2026 semester while being a member of the final squad list during the season.

Additionally, the student-athlete must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests in the most recently concluded season.
 
Indoor and outdoor track are considered two separate seasons since the same athletes might hit the 50 percent participation requirement for one but not the other.
