VMI Rifle going strong at Jr. Olympic Rifle Championship

ANNISTON, Ala.– The VMI rifle team continues to represent the program well as the four qualifiers from the team earned respectable marks to open the 2025 Junior Olympic Rifle Championship Monday in Anniston, Alabama.

Out of 93 men competing, sophomore Kyle Kemp is presently in 37th place having shot a 606.3 air rifle score Monday. The highest score earned on the day for the men's side was a 632.2.
 
Adrianna Sanders is currently in 124th place out of 210 women competing at the event having scored a 609.2. Elizabeth Stann is in 137th place with a 607.4, and freshman Wuyue Xie is in 197th place with a 588.8 score on opening day. The high on the women's side was a 629.2.
 
The Keydets will compete on the second day of competition Tuesday.
