Keydets complete run at Junior Olympic Rifle Championship

ANNISTON, Ala. – The VMI rifle team represented the Institute well as four Keydets finished up competition on Day 2 of the 2025 Junior Olympic Rifle Championship in Anniston, Alabama.

The second day of competition at the national event brought personal-best scores by Elizabeth Stann and sophomore Kyle Kemp.

In his second time competing at the event, Kemp came in 38th place overall out of 93 men's competitors with a final score of 1213.1 over the two days.

Stann finished in 123rd place overall out of 210 female competitors with a final score of 1218.1. Adrianna Sanders came in 131st place with a 1215.5 tally, and freshman Wuyue Xie finished in 201st place overall with 1180.8 points.

The competition marks the end of the 2024-25 rifle season for the Keydets on a strong note as VMI continues to improve and make its presence known on a national scale.
