Track and Field earns top marks at VMI Winter Relays

LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI women's track and field team achieved excellent times and distances Friday and Saturday to conclude the 2025 VMI Winter Relays at the Corps Physical Training Facility.

The team delivered standout performances throughout the VMI Winter Relays, showcasing talent across all track and field events.
 
  • Eleyah Armstrong dominated the long jump, capturing first place with an impressive leap of 5.97m, setting the tone for the field events
  • In the sprints, freshman Naturale Faison shined, finishing third in the 200m dash with a time of 25.41 and narrowly missing the 60m finals with a ninth-place finish in 7.74. Junior SeMore Green also performed well, taking fifth in the 200m (25.53)
  • The middle distance team had strong showings, with freshman Reagan Gilman finishing second in the 800m with a time of 2:18.58. Freshman Natalia Dias followed in 12th at 2:29.87, and Hayden Talbott finished 19th with a time of 2:39.44
  • In the mile run, freshman Zoffia Gonzalez placed 20th in 5:46.65. Jillian Sisk led the distance group with a second-place finish in the 3000m, clocking 10:14.70
  • In the high jump, Morgan Fraser cleared 1.62m to earn second place, while freshman E'Yana Watson finished fifth with a mark of 1.52m
  • The throws squad saw Diamond Baker secure a third-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 11.57m, while Ruth Dickersheid followed in 15th at 10.40m
  • Shea Hart dominated the pentathlon, winning multiple events including the 800m (2:26.78), 60m hurdles (8.78), and long jump (5.37m). Her all-around performance showcased her elite multi-event potential. Freshman Jeniya White also had a solid showing, placing third in the 800m (2:38.19)
