LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Baseball will host its 2nd Annual First Pitch Dinner on January 24, 2026, at the Marshall Hall - Center for Leadership and Ethics Hall of Valor, starting at 6 p.m.
"Last year's First Pitch Dinner was a tremendous success and a true celebration of the people who believe in VMI Baseball," says VMI Baseball Head Coach
Sam Roberts. "As we enter our second annual event, the support we receive continues to propel our program forward and elevate the experience we provide our cadet-athletes."
This year's dinner will feature two guest speakers, including former Keydet slugger
Kelly Sweppenhiser '06 and former VMI Assistant Coach and current New York Yankees Assistant Hitting Coach
Casey Dykes.
Something new to the second edition of the fundraiser will be a silent auction, where guests can bid on several items, with all proceeds going directly to the VMI Baseball program.
