LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI Rifle Team hosted its final home match of the 2025-26 season on Saturday, facing off against the fourth-ranked Georgia Southern Eagles at Kilbourne Hall.

Despite finishing second, the VMI Mixed Team posted its second-best aggregate of the year with a score of 4569, with the Women's Team posting a 4542. 

Individually, Alexander Pohlman was VMI's top finisher, placing seventh overall with an aggregate of 1150. Cody Jenkins and Kyle Kemp would finish ninth and 10th respectively with scores of 1146 and 1147. Kemp had VMI's top smallbore score of 570, while freshman Isabel Worthy posted the team's top air rifle score of 584. 
                    
What's Next
VMI will look to compete in the Winter Air Gun sponsored by USA Shooting before turning their sights to the Southern Conference Championships in February.
