VMI Swim & Dive hosts quad meet on Saturday

LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Swimming & Diving will welcome American, Howard, and Saint Francis to the VMI Aquatic Center on Saturday at 1 p.m. for the first meet in 2025.
 
The Keydets ended the first half of the season on a high note as freshmen Jack Mills and Mackenzie Byrne were named America East Rookies and Swimmers of the Week while freshman Isabelle Haer was dubbed Diver of the Week.
 
Mills has caught fire, breaking six records and two relay records. Byrne has had an equally impressive season, snapping the 50 and 100 freestyle Rat and team records along with one relay record.
 
In the last meet, the Keydets had 17 team records broken and set 34 new program top 10 times. The men posted a massive 217-34 victory while the women came up on top, 148-101, for the most wins in seven years and earned the first female dual meet win at Goodall Pool in program history. On top of that, the women also tied for the most wins in a single season.
