LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Swimming & Diving will have two swimmers competing in the 2024 Toyota U.S. Open Championships this week at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.
 
Two Keydet freshmen will swim at the national event on Thursday and Friday. Sam Calder will swim the 50 Freestyle while Jack Mills will swim the 50 Freestyle on Thursday. Mills will also compete on Friday in the 100 Butterfly.
 
Mills has had a strong opening stretch to his collegiate career, breaking six individual records and one relay record along with earning America East Newcomer/Swimmer of the Week. Calder has had an equally impressive season, leading the 200 Freestyle Relay team to a record-setting mark and a pair of VMI top-10 times during the last meet.

Day 1 - Wednesday, December 4: 200 Medley Relay, 800 Freestyle Relay
Day 2 - Thursday, December 5: 200 Individual Medley, 50 Freestyle, 400 Medley Relay
Day 3 - Friday, December 6: 400 Individual Medley, 100 Butterfly, 200 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, 100 Backstroke, 200 Freestyle Relay
Day 4 - Saturday, December 7: 1650 Freestyle, 200 Backstroke, 100 Freestyle, 200 Breaststroke, Butterfly, 400 Freestyle Relay
