LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Men's Soccer looks to get back on track against Mary Baldwin on Wednesday at Patchin Field. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m.
The Keydets (4-6-2, 0-2-0 SoCon) will face the Fighting Squirrels of Mary Baldwin (2-7-2) in a midweek non-conference showdown. VMI, who is 4-1 when playing at home, eyes another big home victory while Mary Baldwin seeks its fifth result of the season.
Keys to the Keydets
Keydets' Home Streak Snapped by Mercer. VMI's four-match home winning streak ends after a 3-0 loss to Mercer.
Home Stretch. VMI will end its season with five of its last six matches at Patchin Field.
New Marks. After the draw against the Highlanders, VMI has earned a result against the same D-I opponent (Radford) in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2013/2014.
Home Sweet Home. VMI has started 4-0 at home for the first time ever. The four-straight home wins is the longest such streak since 1994.
Home Goal Differential. The Keydets have outscored their opponents, 12-6, when playing on Patchin Field this season.
Martin the Martian. Grant Martin leads the team with three goals and seven points, the third and fourth most in the SoCon.
He's the Huang. Anthony Huang leads VMI in shots while tying in assists. He is tied for the SoCon lead in shots and shots on target with 12.
No Days Off. Only three Keydets have played in all 12 matches:

Leading the League. The Keydets lead all SoCon teams in shots and shots on target.
Big Shots. Huang and
Cole Mooney have produced a conference-leading 27 shots apiece.
Top 50 in the Country. VMI ranks 16th in the nation with nearly five saves per game. The Keydets also stand 44th in the country with over 13 shots per match.
Murphy Minutes. Goalkeeper
Zack Murphy has played in 976 minutes and has recorded 56 saves between the posts with two clean sheets.
Life Saver. Murphy ranks fifth in saves per game with just over five while standing sixth in total saves with 56. His 56 saves and five saves per game rank first in the conference.
Sharing is Caring. Nine different Keydets have recorded a goal while eight have earned an assist.
