Keydets Begin App State Open with Strong Marks
 
BOONE, N.C. – Several women's throwers began the App State Open with long distances Friday at Appalachian State's brand new Randy Marion Track and Field Facility in Boone, North Carolina.
 
Rachel Roberson placed fourth in the javelin throw with a distance of 24.48 meters and Isabelle Cabales came in sixth at 18.09 meters.
 
In the hammer throw, senior Judith Gonzalez arrived in sixth overall at 37.60 meters, while Jenna Kirkland finished 10th at 33.51 meters.
 
Up Next
Several Keydets will compete in both track and field events Saturday to conclude the second and final day of competition at the App State Open.
