Keydets Open Strong on Day One of VertKlasse Meeting

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The VMI track and field teams resumed outdoor competition with excellent marks on the first day of the VertKlasse Meeting hosted by High Point University Friday in High Point, North Carolina.
 
Nathalie Lavender and Caroline Fiorillo performed well in the 1500 meter with personal-best times. Lavender finished in 5:03.78, and Fiorillo crossed the finish line with a PR of 5:13.13 for the event.
 
VMI resumes competition Saturday for Day Two of the VertKlasse Meeting in High Point, North Carolina.
