LEXINGTON, Va. – Members of the VMI wrestling team traveled to Mountain View Elementary School Thursday morning to participate in the Read Across America Event. Wrestlers and coaches read books to each classroom and one of the Keydets was in the Moe costume and visited classrooms.  

"This was such a fun way for us to give back to the local community," said head coach Jim Gibson. "The cadet wrestlers enjoyed reading to and interacting with the students.  After the readings were complete the elementary students were able to talk about VMI and wrestling with our cadets, and spend some time with Moe the Kangaroo. Which was a big hit!"
