CORALVILLE, Iowa – VMI Wrestling accumulated 27 points in two days to earn 10
th place out of 19 programs at the Soldier Salute Sunday evening at Xtream Arena.
The Keydets had three placers, including
Ryan Vigil and
Toby Schoffstall each earning eighth place at 165 and 197 pounds, respectively, while
Patrick Jordon led the pack with a sixth-place crown at 149 pounds.
After going 2-0 on day one, Jordon was able to make it to the fifth-place bout, where he fell by decision. Schoffstall fought hard in the seventh-place matchup but was defeated after the bout was cut short due to injury in the first period. Vigil's placement was solidified yesterday.
Five Keydets went on to compete in the silver bracket, where non-placement wrestlers battle head-to-head. 157-pounder

Beau Lewis, 184-pounder
Andrew Barford, and heavyweight
Cole Will each went 1-1.
Nationally-ranked Missouri took gold with 166.5 points, crowning three champions, with seven reaching the podium.
