WORCESTER, Mass. – The VMI men's and women's swimming and diving teams set four records Thursday on day two of the four-day America East Championships, hosted by hosted by the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Highlights:

Malik Nelson finished 10
th in the 50 free, setting the school and freshman records

Jack Sheehan set a new school record in the 200 IM and placed sixth in the finals.
Ethan Griffith took 11
th in the event

Noelle Tong broke the Keydet freshman mark in the 50 free
*Senior
Bridger Thurston closed out his VMI career with a fifth-place finish on the 3 meter board.
Lane Jones took 11
th.
*The men's 200 free relay (Sheehan, Nelson,
Chino Vera and
Collin Marks) took sixth while the VMI women (Tong,
Kate Taylor,
Carter Wasser and
Jillian Maher) placed were seventh. Both rank second in school history in the event

Conner Jorgensen was the Keydets' top finisher in the men's 500 free in 20th, followed by Marks in 22nd.
Rachel Greathouse was the fastest VMI swimmer in the women's 500 free.
