LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Men's Swimming & Diving scored a fourth-place finish, earning five medals in the process, in the 2026 America East Championships Saturday evening at Goodall Pool in the VMI Aquatic Center.
Setting the tone was
Jack Mills, who placed fourth in the 200 Fly A-Final (1:48.69) for a new team record.
Matthew Picard and
Ian Lutz made it to the 100 Free A-Final, going seventh (44.62) and eighth (44.81), respectively.
Sam Castle took home eighth place in the 200 Back A-Final (1:53.42).
Winning the Keydets' fourth relay medal was the 400 Free Relay squad with Mills, Picard, Castle, and Lutz (2:58.37). This was Lutz's fifth medal of the championship. Castle and Picard earned their fourth medal, and Mills' second in the four-day meet.
Competing in the 200 Back B-Final were
Joshua Wolf and
Adi Pattada, earning 11th (1:52.74) and 16th (1:57.05).
Aubrey Struder placed 15th in the 1,650 Free (16:31.60).
Layne Tucker and
Austin Reeder represented VMI in the 200 Breast B-Final, tallying 10th (2:03.54) and 14th (2:05.09).
A trio of Keydets swam in the 200 Fly B-Final, including
Kayleb Eldridge placing 10th (1:51.64),
Caleb Wolf earning 13th (1:52.90), and
Will Loftin tallying 14th (1:52.92).
UMBC won the championship title with 805.5 points.
