The Keydets aim to improve their personal records and best times and distances to prepare for the SoCon Indoor Championships later this month at the CPTF. This past week, Keyandre Midgett and Eleyah Armstrong were named the SoCon Indoor Field Athletes of the Week for their performances last weekend at the VMI Winter Classic. Midgett placed second in the long jump with a personal-best 7.13 meters, and Armstrong took first in the women's long jump by placing first and tying a school record at 5.83 meters.

The heptathlon and pentathlon will kick off the event on both days with a 9 a.m. start Friday and an 8 a.m. start Saturday.
