LYNCHBURG, Va. – Just two weeks away from the Southern Conference Indoor Championships, the VMI track and field teams showed continued improvement at the Darius Dixon Invitational hosted by Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
 
The women's distance medley relay team consisting of Nathalie Lavender, Shea Hart, Heaven Hall and Gretal Shank came in fourth place overall with a time of 13:11.31 to highlight the second day of action at Liberty's Brant Tolsma Indoor Track.

"Track and Field is simple - every meet you find out on that day who is faster, who can jump higher, and or throw farther. You spend the time training and preparing just so you can believe that you have done the work and capable of doing your best to win that day. In two weeks, we will see - against our conference competition - who is faster, who can jump higher, and throw farther at our own facility."
 
Up Next
The Keydets host the Southern Conference Indoor Championships at the Corps Physical Training Facility in two weeks running from February 25-26 in Lexington.
