LEXINGTON, Va. – With multiple athletes placing in the top five of their respective events, the VMI women's track and field team earned solid marks to open the 2022-23 indoor season strong Saturday at the Corps Physical Training Facility.

VMI Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Zack Scott
"Our top finisher leading our women's team was Taylor Hill's second-place finish in the pole vault in her first meet as a Keydet followed by a third-place finish from our distance medley team. To start your season six weeks early in your training cycle before exams is a tough request, but to be led by a handful of our freshmen is a good indication of what is possible for our women's team."
