Lacrosse Travels to Mercer Saturday

LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI lacrosse team will travel to Macon, Georgia to face Southern Conference opponent Mercer Saturday at 11 a.m.at Five Star Stadium.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.

The Keydets (1-8, 0-5) fell to SoCon opponent Air Force last Saturday, with Scout Ripley scoring two goals and goalie Bill Osteen tallying 13 saves in the game.

Ripley leads VMI in goals with 19 on the season. Jon Fant leads in points with 26 points off 10 goals and 16 assists.

Goalies Bill Osteen, Jack Liselli, and Anthony Merida have combined for 104 saves so far this season.

About the Bears (4-6, 1-2 SoCon)
Mercer took a loss to High Point last Saturday as Sean Goldsmith led the Bears with four goals throughout the game.

Will McCarthy leads the team with 17 goals on the season, while goalie Colin Kelley leads with 127 saves for the year.
