SALEM, Va. - The VMI women's distance medley relay finished third in the Keydets' lone action at the Roanoke Tuneup, contested Friday afternoon in Salem, Va.

The team of Logan Luckett, Ariana Ruffin, Christina Hill and Bethany King timed in at 12:13.82 for the third-place result, good for a seasonal best in the event. The mark was also an ECAC qualifying time due to the conversion required by running on a flat track and it missed the school record by just four-tenths of a second. 

The men's DMR competed as well, but was recorded with a DNF.

The VMI track and field teams will return to action Saturday, when the squads compete at the Kent State Tuneup, set for a 10 a.m. start.
