CHARLOTTE, N.C. - VMI second baseman Jordan Tarsovich has been named the Big South Choice Hotels Player of the Week, according to information released by the conference Sunday. Tarsovich is the conference's final Player of the Week this season, and is VMI's final Player of the Week during their time in the league as the Keydets will join the Southern Conference on July 1. 

Tarsovich hit .529 this week, going 9 for 17 at the plate and a perfect 4 for 4 on the bases to bump his season total to 20 steals. The redshirt junior reached base in half of his plate appearances and posted 13 total bases.

Tarsovich went 5 for 9 in VMI's season-ending doubleheader with CSU, during which the Keydets had a Big South Tournament berth on the line. He also finished the year with a nine-game hitting streak.
