Jordan Tarsovich's Career Stats

2015: Drafted in the 22nd round by the Los Angeles Dodgers...First Team All-SoCon at shortstop after leading the league in stolen bases with 24 in 30 tries...ECAC All-Star...finished his VMI career in the program's career top-10 in seven different categories (OBP, doubles, triples, stolen bases, walks, runs scored and hit by pitches)...hit .337 with nine home runs in addition to the aforementioned stolen bases...switched over from second base in early April to play shortstop, but was drafted as a 2B...had a team-high 17 doubles, tied for the eighth-most in program history...stolen bases were tied for seventh in Institute annals...helped the Keydets to their first main draw postseason win since '03 with a 6-5 victory over UNCG, but was injured in next game and missed the last game of his collegiate career, ending a streak of 143 consecutive games played...became only the fourth VMI player ever with 100 career walks during 5/14-15 Western Carolina series...3 for 6 with a career-high tying four runs scored 5/3 against Mercer...went 3 fof 4 with a home run in DH opener against Citadel (4/26)...5 for 8 with two RBI and three runs scored over last two games against ETSU 4/11-12...saw a six-game hitting streak snapped 4/3 in opener versus Furman, went 4 for 7 with five runs scored, 2 2B’s, 2 HR’s and three walks next day...3 for 4 with three runs scored 3/18 at Old Dominion...hit safely in 12 of VMI’s first 13 games...went 2 for 3 with a double and a home run in 3/15 loss to CCSU (game 2)...2 for 4 with a home run in season-opening win at North Florida.

2014: Finished his redshirt junior season with a .293 average, three home runs and 22 RBI...also stole 20 bases, including one in each of VMI's last five games, and had a team-high 13 doubles...did so while playing second base for the first time since high school...named Big South Player of the Week for the last week of the regular season after going 9 for 17 with four steals during that time...was VMI's last Big South Player of the Week in any sport...closed the year with five straight multi-hit games to raise his average 38 points...2 for 4 with two RBI, two stolen bases and two runs scored in 2/16 win over Kentucky...manufactured winning run in 2/25 victory over #1 UVA...had seven RBI in VMI's two games on March 1, including a home run against Buffalo...started the year with a 10-game hitting streak, equaling VMI's longest of the season...VMI's March 8 win over Binghamton was the team's first win in 32 games in which Tarsovich did not reach base (April 9, 2013)...was 2 for 5 with a game-tying single in 3/15 win over Radford...scored four runs 3/21 against Presbyterian, first Keydet to do so since May 2011...4 for 11 with three walks in series win at Gardner-Webb...2 for 5, reached base four times and had game-winning three-run triple in April 2 win at VCU...2 for 3 with two walks, a run scored and a RBI in 4/9 win over UR...hit .333 with a home run in High Point series.

2013: Ranked among the Division I leaders in walks for much of the year before finishing with 48, setting a new Keydet record and leading the Big South...wound up the year hitting .299 and starting all 55 games...had a .445 on-base percentage, which ranked fifth in the Big South...stole 18 bases (tied for seventh in the conference) in 24 tries...was the team leader and ranked seventh in the BSC with 16 doubles...was on base 7 of his 13 plate appearances in the season-opening Alabama series...reached base in each of the season's first five games, and after being kept off the basepaths against Buffalo on 2/24, rebounded by reaching in eight of his next nine trips to the plate...3 for 4 with two RBI in game one against Binghamton 3/3...2 for 4 with three runs scored and two RBI at James Madison March 12...5 for 8 with six RBI in Norfolk State/Richmond midweek games in mid-March...hit his first home run since 2011 in win over Longwood on 3/23...went 2 for 4 with his second home run of the season 4/7 against VCU...had five hits in the Charleston Southern series, including three in the series-opening win, during which he singled home the go-ahead run in the 10th inning...2 for 4 with a walk 4/20 at Campbell...had two of VMI's three hits in 4/26 loss to Liberty, then walked three times in series finale.

Summer 2013: Named the 2013 Valley League Player of the Year during the summer season after playing for Strasburg...named the Valley League's 11th-best prospect by Perfectgame.org. 

2012: Hit .286 with four stolen bases in 13 games...was having a breakout year until suffering a foot injury during Hartford series...attempted to return against Old Dominion March 14, but was forced back to the injured list less than a week later...hit .500 (6 for 12) in series against Lafayette with three extra base hits and two stolen bases...was 2 for 5 in opener against Hartford before injury...had a pinch-hit single March 17 against UNC Asheville.

2011: Appeared in 23 games as a true freshman, a large portion of which were as a defensive replacement…did start 10 contests as well, including six of eight at one point in mid-March…hit .261 with three RBI…had his first career hit, a single, March 11 versus New Mexico State…also drove in his first run in that game…posted hits against Oregon State March 12 and 13…was 1 for 2 with a walk at Presbyterian (3/27)…went 1 for 4 in the opener of a double-header with Liberty (4/23), a game that was his final start of the year.

High School/Personal: Second Team All-State (2010)…former teammate of fellow Keydet recruit Berkley Hawkins…First Team All-Conference (2010)…earned school's Titan award, given to the "athlete that coaches feel best embodies the spirit of teamwork, focus, hustle and sacrifice"…son of Jane and Phil Tarsovich...planning to major in Economics and Business.
