What is your specialty/position within your sport?
I play attack for the lacrosse team.
What is your favorite athletic memory prior to coming to
VMI?
My senior year on varsity the other two attackers were my
best friends, and we led the team to a dominating season where we basically
crushed every opponent, we had a great time together.
How did you get started in your sport, and who was
instrumental in getting you going?
I was at a friend's house one day and was watching them
throw the ball around in the front yard and liked it since then. My dad is the
biggest part of me being able to play. He pays for everything!
What is your favorite memory here at VMI, athletic or
otherwise, and why?
I don't really have a favorite memory yet, but everything
that goes on in the locker room is a blast and makes lasting impressions. Being
with all the guys is a lot of fun.
Why did you choose VMI?
I chose to come to VMI because it offered me the best
path for myself after college. I wouldn't be able to play lacrosse forever, so
what I do after lacrosse will be very important, and VMI is going to
help me prepare for that better than any of the other schools would have.
What do you most look forward to in the remainder of your
time at the Institute?
I look forward to getting to know all of the guys on the
team more, especially the other rats. I am pretty good friends with a lot of
them, but I want to be able to rely on all the guys for anything just as much
as I would rely on a family member. I am really looking forward to making a lot
of close friends that will be around for the rest of my life.
If you could compete against any athlete in any sport,
who would it be and why?
Michael Phelps, because I want to see his determination
and learn from his work ethics and attitude towards his sport.
What are four things you couldn't live without?
1. Lacrosse stick
2. Friends/Brothers
3. Chipotle
4. Technology
