VMI Women’s Soccer Falls at Furman

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The VMI women's soccer team fell to Furman by a 7-1 score Sunday afternoon at Eugene Stone III Soccer Stadium in Greenville, South Carolina.
 
VMI struck first in the ninth minute when Ella Peterson found the back of the net off an assist from Natalie Centurione to give the Keydets an early 1-0 lead. Furman responded with four goals before halftime to take control of the match.
 
VMI goalkeeper Maren Ryberg recorded seven saves in the contest.
 
The Keydets return home Thursday, Oct. 1, to host Chattanooga at 4 p.m. at Patchin Field.
