VMI Football back on the road to face Davidson

LEXINGTON, Va. – The VMI football team will play its third road opponent in four weeks as the Keydets travel to Davidson College for a Saturday afternoon tilt in Davidson, North Carolina.
 
Kick-off is set for a 1 p.m. start at Davidson College Stadium.

The Keydets (0-3) look to pick up their first victory of the season against the Wildcats (1-2) as VMI works to establish its new triple option offense under Head Coach Ashley Ingram.
 
About Davidson (1-2)
A member of the Pioneer Football League, the Wildcats enter Saturday's game with confidence after taking down Dickinson College, 28-14, at home this past weekend. Davidson opened the season with home losses to Concord (L, 35-41) and Elon (L, 0-38) as they prepare to host their fourth consecutive home game to start the year.

In a series dating back to 1904, the Keydets and Wildcats have met 61 times over the past 102 years with VMI owning 41 victories to 17 for Davidson. VMI has won 12 in a row, with the last being a 12-7 win in Lexington to open the 2023 season.
