Track and Field to host VMI Winter Relays

LEXINGTON, Va. – After last week's meet at Liberty was canceled due to safety concerns for teams traveling in the snowy weather, the VMI track and field teams are set to host the 2026 VMI Winter Relays this Friday and Saturday, February 6-7, at the Corps Physical Training Facility.
 
The meet is the first of the indoor season for women's pentathlon athletes to compete as well as the men's heptathlon. A total of 23 schools will be represented between the men's and women's teams and the meet features 655 registered athletes competing.
 
 
On Friday, the women's pentathlon kicks off at 9 a.m. with the men's heptathlon starting at approximately 9:30 a.m. The women's DMR will be the concluding event at 5:25 that evening.
 
On Saturday, the men's heptathlon resumes at 8 a.m.  and events will run until approximately 4 p.m. after the conclusion of the women's 4x400 relay.
