Coaches for Autism Awareness (formerly known as Coaches Powering Forward) is an annual initiative bringing the NCAA and High School Basketball communities together to champion the mission of Autism Speaks. Since 2014, Autism Speaks has distributed over 11,000 puzzle piece pins to more than 450 colleges and high schools, giving coaches, staff, and broadcasters a way to promote inclusivity at games.

Hoops for Hunger
The VMI SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) is sponsoring a food drive during the month of February to take down to Asheville as part ot the Southern Conference food drive competition between league schools.  Fans are encouraged to bring canned good items to donate and several bins will be placed around the front lobby to drop off the items as you enter Cameron Hall.

About Western Carolina (11-15, 7-8)
The Catamounts are coming in hot after three straight wins over The Citadel, Chattanooga and UNCG over the past two weeks.  Cord Stansberry and Tahlan Pettway led the team with 25 and 24 points, respectively, in Wednesday night's win at home against UNCG.

Stansberry leads the team averaging 13.6 points per game while Marcus Kell is right behind at 13.5 ppg. Julien Soumaoro is also averaging double digits with 12.2 points per contest. Samuel Dada leads the team in rebounding with 7.3 boards per game.

All-Time Series (31-42)
The Keydets swept the season series a year ago and look to win their third game of the past four between the Catamounts and the Keydets Saturday afternoon at Cameron Hall. Western defeated VMI a few weeks ago in Cullowhee by an 88-58 count.

A win against the Catamounts would be VMI's 32nd all-time against WCU in the long-standing conference rivalry.
